Providing a safe and sustainable environment is a top priority. This includes having the right resources protecting our residents, policies in place to ensure sustainability and a plan for the future. Progress was made in all these areas in the past few years.
POLICE

Added officers to meet demand for our growing community

Created the Commander role at no additional cost to assist the Chief with the increasing demands of the department

Invested in new technology and equipment
FIRE

Implemented changes to assist in the recruitment and retention of the only volunteer Fire Department in the area

Increased hourly pay to $14/hour​

AMBULANCE

Partnered with HealthEast ambulance to improve response times and increase presence in our community
WATER

Implemented new policy for road salting to reduce runoff into local waterways

Monitor need for additional water treatment plan as our city expands

4-way signal light at County Road 42 and Akron Avenue coming in 2021
